NATIONAL PARK OF SAJAMA (4 DAYS)
NORMAL ROUTE (6.560 m. above sea level)
From May to September 

DIFFICULTY 45º

CLIMBING TIME: 14 hrs.

FIRST DAY: LA PAZ - SAJAMA - BASE CAMP The highest summit in Bolivia, the volcano of SAJAMA has a dome shape. is located in the west volcanic mountain range. We will leave by private transportation (5 hrs.) until the village of Sajama. From there we will start the expedition with a 4 hrs. walk up to the base camp at 4.400 m. above sea level.

SECOND DAY: BASE CAMP - HIGH CAMP Quickly we will go into the glacier, after that, we will use the climbing equipment and we will continue strung until to reach to the high camp at 5.700 m. above sea level. (6 hrs.)

THIRD DAY: HIGH CAMP - SUMMIT - BASE CAMP After crossing a single technical passage of 45º the way up to the summit is only a hard walk. The difficult is due to the very strong wind and cold, that is the main caracteristic of the mountain. (8hrs). Reached the summit of highest snowy mountain in Bolivia: “EL SAJAMA" we will start the descent until the base camp.

FOURTH DAY: BASE CAMP – LA PAZ We will return by walk down to the village of Sajama and then we Return back to La Paz by private transportation (5 hrs.)

This INCLUDES: mountain guide, assistant guide (if more than 4 people), cook, complete meal, private transportation (with insurance), carrier mules for baggage, porters, optional technical climbing equipment (mountain shoes, crampons, ice axe, rope, carabiners), camping and cooking equipment.

NOT INCLUDED: sleeping bag, Backpack OPTIONAL personal insurance available. (ask for more info) THE PARTICIPANTS MUST BRING: Anorak, mountain trousers, thermal underwear, personal first aid kit, trekking shoes, sun block, mountain glasses, torch, water bottle, mountain sleeping bag, extra personal back pack, mountain gloves, woolen bonnet and the technical climbing equipment is optional (mountain shoes, crampons, harness, ice axe, rope, carabiners)
