APOLOBAMBA SOUTH CURVA - PELECHUCO (7 Days)

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: 2

FIRST DAY: LA PAZ - CURVA We will leave La Paz by private transportation up to the valley of Curva. From Achacachi we will travel along the Lago Titikaka shore. To Curva We will camp at 3.700 m. above sea level.

SECOND DAY: CURVA - JATUN PAMPA With an easy walk of 4 hrs. we will arrive to Jatun Pampa, located on the mountainside of the Snowy AKAMANI the mountain guardian of the Achachilas spirits of the mountains). We will camp at 4.300 m. above sea level.

THIRD DAY: JATUN PAMPA - INKA KANCHA We will walk during 2 hour to arrive to the pass (4.700 m. above sea level) and descend for 2 hrs. until INKA KANCHA'S valley. We will camp at 4.200 m. above sea level.

FOURTH DAY: INKA KANCHA - SUNCHULLI We will ascend to the first pass (1.30 hrs.), then we will continue along an easy path until we arrive to the second pass. From now on we will start the descent until our camp at 4.400 m. above sea level (5.30 hrs.). Drifting the itinerary we will observe Inka ruins, near an active gold mine.

FIFTH DAY: SUNCHULLI - PALCA This day we will ascend to the highest pass of the expedition (5.100 m. above sea level). With beautiful views of the snowy peaks of the CORDILLERA DE APOLOBAMBA, we will descend to the village of ILLO-ILLO before to arrive to our camp placed on the village of Palca at 3.800 m. above sea level (7 hrs).

SIXTH DAY: PALCA - PELECHUCO We will continue along an old Inka trail until reaching the last pass of the expedition, at 4.700 m. above sea level. From now we will descend until the village of PELECHUCO (7 hrs.) at 3.500 m. above sea level. Lodging.

SEVENTH DAY: PELECHUCO - LA PAZ Return to La Paz City by private transportation in 9 hrs. we will go through the ULLA ULLA NATURAL SANCTUARY OF CAMELIDOS (alpaca, llama and vicuñas), and we will enjoy in the thermal waters.
