FIRST DAY: LA PAZ - COPACABANA
From the city of La Paz we will go up to the city of El Alto, by private transportation, to be more specific we will go until the small village of Pucarani, a 1,30 hrs. trip (4.000 m. above sea level). From now on we will continue in our bicycles along an asphalt road up to Copacabana.
The Andean Highland near to the lake Titikaka will shows us a green carpet with beans and potatoes plantations, that alternate with the Eucaliptus trees. In front of the lake, we will have a panoramic view of LA CORDILLERA REAL DE LOS ANDES. We will go through different villages along the lakeshore, until we arrive to The Tiquina Strait. The automobile and the bicycles will be crossing along the Strait in an different special boat, used just for vehicles. Because of security regulations we will cross in public transportation boats (30´). After we have crossed the strait, we will continue along ascents and short descents, among spectacular views of the lake Titikaka and of La Cordillera Real de los Andes. Finally we will descent up to the village of Copacabana that is settled along El Lago Sagrado (3.800 m. above sea level). A 7 hrs. bicycle ride. Hotel
SECOND DAY: COPACABANA – ISLA DEL SOL – LA PAZ
During the morning we will visit La Isla del Sol, we will take a row in a shared tourist boat along the highest lake in the world, 3.800 m. above sea level, (8.000 km?). After 2 hrs. we will arrive to the south part of La Isla del Sol, we will have one hour to meet the Incan ruins. A 2 hrs. boat return up to Copacabana. After lunch we will return to the city of La Paz. (4 hrs).
